The project brief entailed alterations and extensive repairs to a Grade II listed terraced house in Camden. The building was a 5 storey terraced property including a lower ground floor and mansarded roof. The client, an academic couple, required the restoration of the property to be carried out in meticulously authentic historical detailing. The key element of the required alterations was the creation of a new library within the property in keeping with the period character. EUA designed and detailed a sensitive scheme meeting all the requirements of the brief. Detailed Listed Building consents were obtained from the London Borough of Camden and the works were supervised on site to completion under a standard JCT 'traditional' contract. |
