EUA passionately believes in the provision of homes for all sectors of society within diverse mixed urban communities. These homes are often constructed on awkward sites against a harsh inner city background. It is a fundamental precept of EUA's design that to create these homes is to create places to dwell with a personally identifiable sense of territory with which the occupants can connect and feel at home in.

All aspects of social housing design and construction are informed by planning legislation, Housing Corporation Standards, funding issues and the individual requirements of each Housing Association.

13 years of working at senior level on Housing Association Management Committees has educated Paul Whitley in the nuances of designing for this sector and forms the basis of EUA's knowledge and experience in this area.
