The design philosophy grew out of an interest in the poetics of space and phenomenology. It is marked by a strong commitment to complex urban intervention and the intense qualities of space, light and shadow tested through highly efficient three-dimensional space planning. Above all, EUA are concerned with the experience of space: the character and poetic potential of the fusion of light, shadow, texture, material and colour, the tension between the visible and the perceived archetypes that lie behind, and within all physical forms and the enigmatic influence of the designer's own hand. This is the added value that can raise even the simplest, most budget constrained project to the level of the profound. |
